russian /Chyrillic fonts blurry on printout

In the same excel cell I have latin words as well as chyrillic ones – Latin comes out crisp and clear, chyrillic comes out blurry when there is some color on the page (the text itself is B&W). Tried different font types, there are small difference but the problem is the same.
We use Canon iR3100 printers, (tried on 2 different printers, same thing).

any ideas ?
