I’m running Remote Web Workplace in SBS 2003, a SonicWall firewall, and a dual flex data fiber (2.25 dedicated internet with 750 for phone – gives to ineternet if not in use).
RWW works great, but after the 4th remote user connects, it starts to lag. Blocking streaming (normally 3 people listening to something on the web) will open things up for one more functional connection.
Additional connections can be made past this, but it lag increases with each new session until it’s not practical to use.
It did the same thing when we had 1.5 for internet, doubling the bandwidth didn’t change it. I’ve got a choke point somewhere.
Changing the MTU is the only thing I’ve read that could be an issue, but I have limited experience with Firewall/routers.
I’m hoping someone’s run into this and found a fix or has feedback about the MTU possibility – if it seems likely that could be the issue and if there are dangers in changing the settings…
