I have winxp sp2 installed laptop.When i plug pen drive “Safely remove Hardware” icon not appeared in the system tray. I had also run the command C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll but still no icon appeared. I noticed one thing that if i configure my lan card in DHCP its works but after configuring manual ip address its disappears again. I had already reinstalled the lan drivers but the problem is same.
