Salary Information

By MKIIITrbo89 ·
I just received a job offer from an IT outsourcing company. I will be a business analyst working on the procurement supply chain side and will be sponsored for a TS clearance. Not sure if its full scope or not. I have three years work experience two of them in supply chain field and a business degree. I was wondering what a fair offer would be? I quoted a range to HR of 55-65 but I think I low balled myself. I am waiting on the actual offer letter in the mail.

The TS clearance will be gold for other government jobs.

The TS is worth way more once you get it...

That TS is golden in the government sector, and once you have it in hand you can pretty much set your own pay scale.

What is the Salary Range on Salary.com?

by Old-Fart-IV In reply to Salary Information

Time to do a bit of research using the web - either salary.com or monster should provide the salary range of the position you are looking at. Ensure that you factor in that this is a "cleared" job ...

OBTW: My experience (and that of others) Contractor positions without benefits usually pay about 25% above the stated FTE salary.

What happens if the salary is at FTE or below? You will have to decide if you are willing to work for the the amount they are willing to pay you (and be thankful that you have a job).
