Salary Nogotation after very successful

by talbakr . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I have recently graduated from college and applied to the same company which i had a very successful internship with.

While an intern I was acting as a LAN administrator in addition to working on a major Video Conferencing Project (>5 million Dollors)to take the place of the main engineers after they had trouble with one leaving the comaony and the other away for training.

Based on the project mangers’ comments I did a great job and was instrumental in the success of the project, so much so that I was asked to extended my internship to 2 more months.

After that I was promised by my manager a job with the company as soon as I graduate and was even told that they would consider my internship as one year experience.

Now after I applied to the company I was informed verbally by my manger that I would be given a standard salary (without the year experience)so I requested to meet with him in a weeks time and he agreed. My problem is how do I negotiatte an increase in salary based on his previous promise and my work without being cocky, rude or angry , when I have a strong felling he won’t give me a new offer ?
