I’ve been newly promoted to an account manager position in a data communications company. I’m specifically placed here to deal with the launching of our newest service, managed services. Unfortunately I’m a software type of person which means I know very little about telecommunications technology and I’m still learning. But time is money. Managed services include services such as managing database, LAN, and even PBX. My boss is killing me asking for results and so far I’ve got zero. What steps do I need to take to develop my skills? What do I need to know first and last? Thanks for any help that you can offer me.
