One of our users is on a fairly new NT 4.0 sp5 workstation box. Recently he was using Autocad2000 and ran into some problems. Our Cad person worked in autocad and then restarted his computer. When it came back up, all the icons had changed to theExcel icon. The names and shortcuts still work, but instead of 10 odd different icons, you see 10 icons for Excel. The only ones that weren’t affected were those such as my computer, briefcase, etc. We’ve tried logging on as different users, deleting and recreating shortcuts, changing the icon, but nothing seems to work – they all go back to the excel icon. Is there some setting that might control this? Thanks for your help,
