Samsung Galaxy phones reportedly at security risk due to keyboard flaw

TechRepublic’s sister site – ZDNet.com reports: “A security firm says keyboard language packs are updated over a plain-text, unencrypted connection which opens the door to remote sensor and data access.”

Apparently this flaw was reported to Samsung back in December 2014. You can read the full story over at ZDNet – http://www.zdnet.com/article/600m-samsung-galaxy-phones-at-security-risk-due-to-pre-installed-keyboard-flaw/?FTAG=TRC7089fd7

What do you think, did Samsung wait too long to start issuing a fix? Are you affected by this security flaw which can hit Samsung Galaxy phones from the last 2 yrs including the Samsung Galaxy 4?
