Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with Square?

Has anyone used the Square Credit Card Reader with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2?
Doesn't work for me. I hope the card reader is bad.

Mine seems to have everything required. Not sure about the headphone jack. I don't know if it also supports a microphone (required).

If the headphone jack isn't compatible, is there an attachment for the data port?

It seemed dumb to me to use the headphone jack instead of the data port, but whatever.

I believe it's compatible for Android. There's a list of compatible devices on the website. It doesn't explicity list the Galaxy Tab 2 as a compatible device, but it does state that Droid 2.2 and up is required. I'd hazard a guess that your device isn't compatible. I cannot get my square reader to work either...

Got a new tab 2 last weeks for the purpose of taking credit cards at art shows.. the square is not recognized. .. My account is working -- we can use my girlfriend's ipad with my account just fine... Headphone jack works (with headphones...) but I am at wit's end with trying to get the square to work.. very disappointed with Samsung unless someone can tell me I'm doing something wrong. I find it hard to believe that there's not more out there on this subject, but I am glad I found your post.. Any luck?

Apparently Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 does not support Square Reader....
