Santa needs to vent

Last week and this week are extremely busy for this little Santa. With trying to get everything set for Christmas for 3 children (2 of which still believe) the few hiccups encountered are quickly becoming heartburn.

I have bill collectors calling everyday, and no money to give ANY of them. Didn’t get a bonus this year, which means some OTHER bills are being pushed off for a bit too. Spent way too much on the kids. Still need to buy for grandkids and for grandparents (whom we will be visiting this weekend).

Then, to top it all off, I bought 2 items online from TigerDirect in one order last Thursday. Both items stated under Availability “Ships within 24 hours”. I paid for 2nd Day delivery. Everything should arrive in time for Xmas.

1 item arrived on Monday. Ok good. The other apparently is a drop ship from another warehouse. According to TigerDirect CS, drop ships are always considered to be a couple extra days. A COUPLE EXTRA DAYS! [i]Nowhere on the site or my confirmations did it say that it was a drop ship, or that it would be a couple of days…NOWHERE![/i] And because it ships from another company’s warehouse TigerDirect can’t tell WHEN exactly it will ship. So the guy yesterday said we’ll call them and get back to you. Lo and behold – no return call yet this morning.

So I call this morning. The guy today says it should ship out today from a warehouse that is in my state which means, even if they shipped 2nd day, it would arrive tomorrow. Eh, alright.

BUT THEN, I discover that on my debit card, the funds for the full order were put on hold at the time of the order…ok, no biggie. TigerDirect charges the actual amount upon shipping. Fine. The problem is when the first item shipped, my card RECHARGED me for that item, rather than taking the funds out of the portion put on hold. AAGH! I spent literally an hour and a half on the phone this morning with the bank and with TigerDirect trying to get this cleared up. They got all the info they needed to do what they need to do, but it will be a couple of days before the funds will be released. Bah. Then the guy from TigerDirect (this is a different guy than the 1st one this morning) says, no he (the 1st guy) is wrong, there’s no way we can tell from this information that it will ship today. It just means it was ORDERED from that warehouse. There’s still no way to know WHEN it will ship unless we call them directly. BAH! Ok fine, just cancel the darn thing! Which is exactly what I did, and then proceeded to hunt the item down online. Which, of course, it’s not available in any stores near me. (It’s a Spyro game for the PS2). Soooo I had to settle for the DS version.

Ok, I’m vented.
