sata drivers

By jimjohn ·
How does Linux handle drivers for SATA devices? Are they bundled with the Ubuntu installation, or do they have to be installed separately?

This depends on the actual M'Board

But most of the more commonly used SATA Drivers should come Bundeled with the Ubuntu Installation Disc.

As Ubuntu is a Live Disc you can try ti before loading it and run it off the CD to see what if anything you may have to dig around for drivers for.
