SATA to IDE

I want to connect an IDE HDD from a corrupted computer, which is running Win XP to an old computer running Win 98 via SATA connection. The idea is that when the Main computer boots up, it recognises the slave HDD and corrects the errors on the disk. Can this be done, and is there a SATA connection on the Win 98 mother board
