SATA won’t discover IDE drive

Ok, I’ve read other posts with similar issues but mine is a little bit different. Here is the problem:

I have 3 hd’s:

one 40 gig with xp (SATA)
one 40 gig with vista (IDE) and
one 160 gig as storage (IDE)

I dual boot with a program called OSL2000. Now, upon boot I can access either vista or xp, in other words my computer IS detecting and dual boot works.

Now if I boot into Vista (IDE) all the drives will be detected and listed in “My Computer”. No problems here.

When I boot into my XP (sata) drive however neither my vista drive or my storage will be detected. It is really driving me nuts and I have run out of ideas. Any suggestions?
