Satellite A200 - updated bios and now will no longer recognize my password!

By Ling Ling Ling ·
I updated bios on Toshiba satellite A200-09V PSAE3C-09V08C
after downloading the updated bios from toshiba and installing it whenever I boot up it will no longer recognize my password

I found this bug bulletin on toshiba:|PSAD6U#

This is very frustrating, as there is no way to install the update to fix this if I can not get into windows

I get prompted for password no matter how I try to boot and it will not recognize my password. Apparently updating the bios has reset my password.

This is a pretty old laptop with expired warranty, but it is not fair that I should have to buy a new motherboard or pay service centre if this is due to toshiba bug in bios

Please advise

Kind thanks

What did Toshiba say here?

by OH Smeg In reply to Satellite A200 - updated ...

More importantly what did Toshiba say about what was required to Update the BIOS?

Most M'Board Companies tell you to remove any BIOS Passwords before attempting the update.
