Hard Drive Saving
Our P90 was upgraded to a Pentium 155 and the OS upgraded from WIN 95 , 3.11 to Win 98, HD upgraded to WDCaviar 4GB drive, FAT 16, used EZ-Bios, we lost Win.exe when a corrupted version of Netscape was downloaded and installed, killing the WIN 98 Kernel program a message to reload Windows printed.
The system refused to recognize the CD Rom and testing by Renaissance Computers said the main controller failed -onboard I/O. I added a high speed IO Board and another WD HD 4 GB
Norton Utilities 2000 said the boot sectors were blown and attempted to rewrite, FAT 32—however no data on my old drive is readable. Tried a data rescue program and it also said no datafound— Their office closed and moved the following week and I suspect that their disgruntled tech may have wiped my hard drive.
