Our server is running IIS on Windows 2000 Advanced Server. We have an Excel form that we would like our clients to access and edit from the Internet then save back to the original file on our server. We have no problem saving it back with Office/Excel 2000 but when it is accessed with Office/Excel 97 (which is what our clients have) there is no option to save it back to the “web folder”. The default is back to their local folder. We do not want to ftp or save as html. Any ideason how to save an excel (xls) file back to the Internet? We also have had the file open as “read-only” occasionally even when no one else is accessing the file.
