Saving files on USB HD on TrendNet Network Storage

by dgeathome . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

Being an audiophile of sorts, I have ripped my music librtary to an External 80 Gig (WD) or a 250 Gig (SimpleTech) USB HD (formatted FAT32). I bought a TrendNet Network Storage (TS-U200) so I could run/play the library on any of units (3Pcs, 1 Dell Laptop)on my LAN. (All have XP or XP Pro) Well it works sort of. I can play, bu cannot write (rip) or copy a file to the HD. The HD works (rips/copies) fine locally, when pluggged in to local PC. TrendNet says only that it sounds like the format is NTSF or I have not set the permissions. According to Disk Manager thay are FAT32. I also set the TrenNet settings to allow read/write. It seems as if XP still thinks it is NTSF.
Stumped!
