Saving JPG Files

By thollis ·
It seems that I have lost the ability to download a JPG file from the internet. XP will only let me save it as a Bitmap File. If I try and save it as a Target Save it wants to save it as a HTML Page

First, you have to make sure you are saving a JPEG file from the web site you are looking. If you point on the image, right click on your mouse, go to properties and it will display the kind of file you are looking at. If it is a bitmap or gif, you will be able to save it on this format. To make sure you are selecting the image you want as I mentioned point on the image and if it is not a link click once in the picture.

I thought I mentioned that they were JPEG files as I looked at the properties of them. I have solved the problem by going into assiciated files and deleting all traces of JPEG then letting XP reaquire them.
