Saving Old Email

by ashok_g . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

Hi

We are using MS Exchange5.5 for email server and outlook express for client. all clients download everything to workstation don’t keep anything in server.

Now we have to keep all email(for admin user). It is taking lots of space in workstaion and it has risk of loosing email. Here I have to save all old email to somewhere, so that that will save space in user harddisk and they can refer to whenever they need.

I am myself to look after all these things, so I was thinking to ask user to save their old email in certain directory(in server, manually one by one)and then I will write into CD. This solution is looking very long process and I also could copy whole email folder from user computer, I found there is problem with that too.If I copy folder and when user need to refer to email than I have to stay and copy back and then user have to search for email. It should be ok if there is only one or two CD but what if we have 10ns of CD??

I was wondering if any one could suggest me what would be the best way to do? Copying in CD would be best or just copying in ZIP disk would do? or there is other best way to do?

Thank you

Regards
Ashok
