Saving Remote Desktop Connection entries

By dlogan ·
Has anyone figured out how to save or reset Remote Desktop Connection entries once a connection is created? I went into the registry and deleted the MRU value and the RDC icon for the connection but it didnt do anything. Any takers?

Saving Remote Desktop Connection entries

From within the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box (click Start | All Programs | Accessories | Communications | Remote Desktop Connection), click the Options button. From the General tab, click the Save As button. Type in a file name and choose the location where you want to save the file. Next time you want to initiate a connection using those settings, double click the file you just saved.

Thanks but....

Thanks for the reply but the issue Im having with the new RDC is that if you save the settings for not saving a username and password you cant change this. Im trying to find how to edit the saved response. Ive tried going into the registry and deleting the MRU entry and the connection icon but that didnt do it. Really weird one. The old RDC let you save the settings for username and PW visibly. The new one doesnt, it keeps popping up the login window.
