SBS 2000 crashes

Hi,

endironment:
1 SBS 2000
1 Server 2000 with AD, same domain
15 Clients

The main Server (SBS) crushes: it often stop respondig, you can moove the mouse, let the client use some services but you cannot run anithing new. It appears it run out of memory. It appears also it doesn't use correctly the page file. The Server as 512MB ram, but not too much space on the disks.

Please HELP!!!

Yes, this is a problem. The paging file needs to expand and when there is no room to do it, it won't work correctly. You need to limit the virtual memory it uses by making a static paging file on your limited disk. 512 MB should be plenty of RAM andtrying to let the program decide how much swap space to use is not needed. Making a static paging (swap) file will reserve the space as well as limit it. Hope this helps.

It was an Exchange problem. I've solved it defragmenting the database.
