SBS to SBS on seperate domains/networks via VPN

By jblouir ·
We have setup a US SBS network and a UK SBS network. The US SBS server connects to the UK SBS VPN server via VPN. This allows us to perform SQL Database Replication and File Replication via Second Copy.

My question is, is this actually allowed and will our networks and domains remain safe from the wrath of Microsoft and their Auto-SBS-Destruction they have built in to SBS if they are on the same network?

I have been told by one source that its fine, and another that its a mistake. And you would think I would be able to find something about it on microsoft.com but no luck so far.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks

The domain names are different.

The trigger for the shutdown comes when 2 SBS servers exist in the same domain. That is the no-no.

If the servers have seperate domain names you'll be just fine.
