SBS VPN connections…

by ingram.clint . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

I have been reading a lot about this subject and have came up with a couple issues.

I am able to VPN and connect to the shared drives, the problem is that if my connection drop (for whatever reason), I cannot log back on. It gives me the error about the remote computer not responding. When this happens, I can still use Remote Desktop Connection to take control of the server. I cannot reconnect using VPN (even under different usernames) until everything has been restarted.

Is there any settings that I should be checking? Something like if idle after so many minutes that the server should disconnect this dropped connection?

Could this be getting tied up in my router, a Dlink DI-624?

The server does have 2 NIC’s and is doing all of the DHCP, etc. Router is configured to only be an access point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
