SBS2000 not disconnecting from ISP.

By e-profits ·
I have Small Business Server 2000 setup and running. It has 2 Network cards (1 for local lan, 1 connected to a router). It is sending and receiving email and browsing the net without any problems.

The router times out after 2 mins idle and disconnects ok after web browsing.

Exchange Server was set up with the Internet Connection Wizard and is set to connect every 30 mins. The server dials out every 30 minutes but does not disconnect. I have ran a packet sniffer (commview) and there is constant transfer with the ISPs smtp server. There is no mail waiting to be delivered from the isp. The routers built in LAN packet tracer displays the source as the 2nd NIC's IP like so:- What is the 4879? and why does the server not disconnect after a scheduled dial up? Is it anything to to with Active directory? Please help me, I have no more hair to pull out and have ran out of headache tablets.

Thank you
