Scan for DSN connections Visual Basic

Can I scan the network for DSN connections in visual basic? I found a module which scans only the local computer...

chirila, if you are talking about data source names, these are only relevant to the local machine, but if you want to find those that are on other machines then really the only way is to use a file dsn and transfer the file

A better solution would be to create a udl file. Right click in any folder and create a text file. Rename it to a filename.udl file. double click it in explorer. You will get the dsn configuration. once done you can use this file name to connect to the database like connection.open "File Name=path\filename.udl" Now you can copy this udl file with the setup of your application.
