    “Schedule Manager” job description

    Would anyone have a generic job description for a “Schedule Manager” type role?

    If so would you mind sharing it?

      Skill Requirements
      1. has an understanding of concepts of project life cycle and the delviereables expected in every phase of the project.
      2. has an understanding of concepts of scheduling, CPM/ PERT networks.
      3. Should have hands on experience of buliding and managing project schedules on softwares such as MS Project, primavera, Artemis, Guideline, etc.
      4. Should have hands on experience on doing “what if analysis” on one or more of these softwares after live updates ofthe project to predict future bottlenecks.
      5. Must have undertanding of building template network for reuse and repeatability.
      6. Must have hands on experience in handling resources shared across multi- projects. Should be able to predict resource utilisation and constraints for the resource over a period .
      7. Must have an understanding of “levels of planning & reporting” and concept of “roll over”
      8. Should be familiar with concepts of “issue register”, “change register”, “risk register”, etc.

      This is a senior planning position and would report directly to Head of delivery in any organisation. The incumbent should have exposure to handling multiple projects at the same time. He/ She should be able to advise project managers on course of action and be able to flag risks to the head of delivery.
