On a windows 2000 professional pc the scheduler fails to run a scheduled task.
The task executes a script to syncronize 2 databases.
The script runs without any problems, but the windows scheduler won’t run it.
When i right click on the scheduledtask i get the error message “General page initialization failed. The specific error is 0x8009000f : object allready exists.”
The task status is “Could not start”, and the last result is “0x0”.
I searched microsoft’s site and found article 246183.This says that you must start protected storage through one of 2 methods. I looked, and protected storage is allready started. There second answer was to erase the registry key : hkey_users/.default/software/microsoft/cryptography/profiders/type 001.
On this pc there is no subkey cryptography, underneath the key microsoft.
I repaired the 2000 professional installation, but this did not help.
I did run scandisk, and disk defrag.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
