Every time I boot up my SCO Unix Openserver 5.0.4 it disables the print service by itself denying any printing.I have to go to the Print Manager/System and check “Local Print Service Enabled” to enable the print service everytime after a reboot or start up.
When I do a lpstat -t at the command prompt the following message displays:
UX:lpstat: ERROR: The LP print service isnt running or can’t be reached.
TO FIX: Your request can’t be completely handled without the LP print service. If this problem continues get help from your system administrator.
I have tried installing a new stallion card, uninstalled the controller driver and installed it again but cannot solve this problem.Please someone help with some pointers and suggestions.
