Sometimes, vendors will make the installer programs require less in the way of video quality. This is becuase they want to make sure that even those clients with computers that dont have the newest graphics cards (etc) can still install thier software and use it. If you havent completed an instilliation of Mandrake, I suggest you do, and see if you still have the problem. If the problem doesnt go away, check for graphics card and driver settings first. Make sure you have the most up to date drivers for your graphics card. I would also check Mandrake's website to see if they support your vid card. If you have the most updated drivers, and everything seems to be in working order, it is most likely a compatability problem between your vid card, and Mandrake.

i cannot complete the installation because after second step of install begings which
would give me the mandrake installation screen, the screen goes bezerks.
1) i am booting from cd rom
2) have changed 3 video cards ( agp,pci,isa)

Yes, I understand this. My point is that it doesnt necessarily have to be the video card causing the problem. Sure, that would seem to be the most likely source of the difficulty, but it doesnt mean it is the only reason. Have you even looked at Mandrakes website for their recomendations?
