screen is fliped

By Ryu98 ·
Hi i have a lab of 15 computers that are running windows xp pro. They are Dell optiplex Gx260 the problem that i'm having is this; sometimes the screen will flip and i have to do a system restore to fix it. i don't know if there is a problem with a driver but is been doing that to almost all the computers.
Thanks in advance

Best thing is to update your anti-virus program and perform a virus scan to look for viruses. Also, use Ad-Aware to find and delete the spyware files on your systsm.

Ad-Aware is available for download from,

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware

This should do.

By flipped, i take it you mean turned 90 degrees?
since you have a lab, I would suspect one of your students is pulling a funny on you and has written a script to do this. You might find a xxxx.vbs somewhere or they may be doing it from a floppy.
Just a thought

on nVidia cards you can do the trick using just the Detonator drivers. As your Dells have the Intel graphics this must be sth different... but from the DOS-times I remember a simple .bat that I used to spring on my friends. Most likely someone's playing pranks on you - check for .vbs and .bat (or maybe .scp or .hta as well).
