Screen problems on my Mac suddenly

My screen went to all lines and random blinking. Vertical lines in 6 blocks or rows. Seems to gravitate to mostly purple. Ocationally can find a location of tilt that brings the screen back. Help!

  That this is an electrical issue. While you omitted the full model and age the clue remains that it’s not likely to be a board failure (good) but still can be a cable or connection issue (good!)
  
  If your Apple still has Apple Care, use that.
  If out of Apple Care a nod to Louis Rossmann’s shop (find with google.)

  Just wanted to add the fact that certain tilt angles fix it suggests a possible loose connection. If you’re comfortable with it, you might try carefully reseating the connections inside. Hope it helps anybody with similar issues

  Hey there, @middymatt! I know it’s been a while since you posted, but I recently ran into the same issue and found a pretty decent solution that worked for me, so I’m posting it here in case anyone else has the same problem.
  Below are a few steps you should take to fix lines on Mac screen – just remember, tread lightly:
  1. Try resetting the NVRAM/PRAM & SMC.
  2. Fire up your Mac in Safe Mode (hold Shift during startup) to see if the problem persists.
  3. If it’s still there, check for macOS updates.
  4. Try running Disk Utility to fix any potential issues.
