screen saver password doesn't work

i have w2k and i have password protected checked and when it starts screen saver the password does not work. and also why can you not have a different password from your logon? in my win 98 you could change your screen svaer password all the time.and apply change and preview to check it, in w2k you cannot why?

Windows 2000 uses your profile logon password as the screen saver password. This is done for security reasons. There is no way to have a different password unless you use third party screen savers which you probably do not want to do.
