screen size

By warrenL ·
After I maximize a screen, and then click to get the next screen, I have to continue to maximize each time.

Is there some way to make the screens stay in Maximum?

Running Win98SE, and IE6

First drag your windows to a larger size. Close them. Open them Maximise and then close again.

Doug is correct. Windows should remember the last state that a program window was in and have it open the same way the next time it's accessed.

Another thing that you can do is right click on the shortcut that you use and choose Properties. In the dialog box that comes up on the 2nd tab titled Shortcut, make sure that the Run: box has Maximized chosen instead of Normal Window or Minimized. This won't work on the default IE or Outlook shortcuts since that will bring up the Control Panel applets. The way to work around this is to delete those shortcuts from the desktop and recreate your own.

This will also work on MS Office shortcut bar shortcuts and Quick Launch shortcuts.
