screen size

By primal_fear ·
Hi. I'm hoping that you'll be able to help me out with this simple problem.

I'm trying to play a computer game, but whenever I do, the screen for the game is too big for my monitor, and some of the images are cut. I've tried resizing the screen, to no avail.

Thank you!

Screen resolution ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to screen size

Right click on an empty space on your desktop (assuming you are running a M$ Windows system), then select Screen Resolution.

To get more 'things' on the screen, you have to INCREASE the screen resolution.

Without knowing the exact specs for your machine/game I can't be more specific than to suggest you should have a minimum of 1024x768 and, with the resolutions of today's games, perhaps a setting of 1280x, 1400x, or even 1650x.

if you let us know what the game is and your System specifications. Monitor details as well. You may also have to go to compatibility mode and set the resolution to 640 X 480.

Also check for a 'widescreen' setting ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to screen size

Within the in-game video options.

If your game is set to 'widescreen' and you have a normal 4 monitor - you'll lose portions of image at the left and right of the screen no matter what size you set it to.
