Well yes

by Tony Hopkinson In reply to script

a script error at line whatever.
Not taking the p1ss mate, what ever the error is would depend on the exact text ot it, the line and the content of the script. No way anyone could say much more than that.
What browser/ version would also be relevant, how you've got it set up as well. Things like this are either a spelling mistake in the source script or a total nightmare.

Script error

by Info-Safety, LLC In reply to Well yes

Why don't you try going into Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, and check the box next to "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)?" That may fix the problem.

No, the debugger doesn't cause ther error, but the end user doesn't need to see that code written for IE upsets it! Of course Firefox would fix the problem. . .

Was only a chuckle

young fella.
But you are quite correct, seeing it's someone elses source, he can't debug it anyway. Besides if it isn't a spilling mestake or case sensitivity isue, the error is very unlikely to be where it occurred anyway.

From your Bio

by Tony Hopkinson In reply to Thanks for the compliment

it's accurate, at least in respect to an old codger such as myself. I started in IT in 87 as well, though I'd been employed for eight years before I managed to to get a position in the industry I wanted a career in.
