I have a few vbs scripts that complete different pieces of a task, but I need to chain them together to make 1 script that creates a new user on AD copying a model user’s group membership and exchange server, and fills in the property fields from a text file.
This is what I have so far, the first script returns the model user’s Distinguished name. the second script returns the user group membership using the distinguished name. I need the output of the first script to feed directly into the SetobjUser=GetObject(“LDAP://user distinguished name”) field.
The third script creates the new user (but I’m not sure how to create it in the same OU as the model user), mail-enables it, lets me select which mail server and store to use. The fourth script adds the new user to the list of groups retrieved by the second script.
I still haven’t figured out how to fill in the new user’s property fields using a text file saved from outlook yet.
