Scripting errors in IE6

By gregjahn ·
Even though I selected ignore scripting errors within IE, I am bother that just about every webpage I visited generates a lot of scripting errors. It keeps popping up and disappears with almost every other clicks. I cannot install IE6 as it's integrated with WinXP and that almost implies a re-install of WinXP! I did try the repair but still get the errors. HELP!

Maybe you should install Firefox. That one can be uninstalled if you don't like it, but I bet you won't once you get used to it.
Using Firefox, you get a small icon to indicate JS errors, but it won't bother you if you're not interested.
You'll surf a lot safer too, as FF doesn't allow ActiveX to be executed...

You can (partially) uninstall it, but often it works fine if you just download and reinstall IE.
To partially uninstall it, go to add/remove programs, uninstall updates
switch to uninstall Windows components and remove IE
reboot
reinstall IE with new download
