I have an IBM A21m PIII 600(XP Pro SP2) 256MB that locks quite often when scrolling in IE or Firefox. This happens whether using the scroll bar on the side or the down arrow key. If I hold down the ‘third mouse’ button and use the mouse to scroll it freezes far less often. This happened on a previous install and I’ve reloaded and it still happens. It’s an old machine but I have everything up to date. I even used a different hard drive when I reloaded so it isn’t a bad sector.
