Above captioned HDD with NO concern about current data contents. If the files get smoked it’s no problem.
Unless I miss my guess it appears that the 12V rail of the controller card (on the drive) is shorted to ground [UNLESS I’m mistakenly ‘ohm-ing out’ through the drive motor winding.] If I can find a replacement control card, great! If not I’ll need any recomendations for reputable repair depot’s.
