SEAGATE SATA DRIVE AND VISTA ISSUE

By mody666 ·
I have installed a 300GB Seagate ST3300622AS SATA HD in my PC. Unfortunately, only shows up in Device manager under the category "disk drives" but the drive is not present on the "My Computer" screen. How can I get the HD to show as a drive under "My computer"?. I reloaded all drivers and there are no conflicts. All looks good. This is my secondary drive. Help please...

If you are running Vista:
1. Right click on Computer
2. Choose manage from menu.
3. Click continue on popup.
4. Click on Disk Management in left pane.
5. Right click on your new drive in the list.
6. Choose create partition.
7. Format the partition and close Computer Management.

After you do this you should be able to find the drive.
