Seagate SATA Dual Booting Errors

by danielhyam . Updated 21 years, 11 months ago

2 Brand New SATA Hard drives Model ST3200822AS .
Problem
I have be facing System Crashes from the Day I bought the SATA hard drives whenever I Dual Boot. WinXP is my Primary OS ,I use Windows 2003 and Linux on Logical Partitions on the First Hard Drive partitions, since I require to use these OS?s.
The SATA hard disk works ok as long as one OS is present, as soon as I install the other OS the primary OS Crashes.
I use SATA 1 = Install all Operating Systems on it. Create different partitions for that .Install Windows XP on C:\ Primary partition, the remaining partitions are Logical partitions E:\ or F:\ for Windows 2003 , and if Windows Dual Works install Linux on G:\
SATA Disk 2 = No OS is installed on it. Only a backup of data and various applications .
Action Taken
I have read Seagate?s website relating compatibility issues of SATA hard drives with various OS?s and have made sure that I comply with them.
I have installed Service pack 1 for Windows XP, as is mentioned on Seagate?s website when using SATA.
I have Used SEATOOLS and did receive error.
