Seagate Serial Freeagent Desktop Copy problems

by hike_on_3 . Updated 17 years, 7 months ago

With the help of a program I used this hard drive to copy my small older laptop’s hard drive files and then installed another larger one. I kind of work okay as I was ble to boot up and had all my files. But I had the same size hard drive on the larger sized new one, C drive was the same size and D drive which holds the windows files was the same size to. The rest of the hard drive was notrecognized. I was able to partition the new hard drive with the help of the copy program, but it only copied the size of the c drive parameters with a new drive letter. But there is stillabout 40or 50gig left unrecognized. Also the external Seagate is now the size of the original old hard drive and I would like to reformat it, but my command doesn’t work with a serial drive I guess. So I have a 500 gig that is a 40 gig in 2 drives. do ou have a solution….
