Search by user who created a file?

By pbtoms ·
Is there any way for a user to search by the creator of a file? In other words, can I search a folder on the server for documents that I created? I'm pretty sure that they are tagged by who made them, but I don't know how to use that info.
To make it more complicated, we have different setups. Clients are Win95, 98, and XP. We have Win2K Server in one office, NT4 in another.

Bottom line - A user running Windows 98 wants to search on the NT4 server for WordPerfect documents that she created. Can this be done?

WordPerfect Quickfinder is NOT installed, as we have OEM versions of WP and Quickfinder is not included.

Use The Sleuthhound! Pro:

Once an index is created on the local box from network drives, options include searching for various document format metadata and properties.

Watch out for spaces in the above URL, the TechRepublic box doesn't deal well with long URLs. ;-)))
