    I created a simple solutions table in sql. I would like my end users to do word searches to find solutions to their problem. What’s the code for this or is their a commercial search engine I can use.

      To correctly answer this question, we need to know:
      – what database engine
      – what platform
      – what operating system

      But as a basic idea, you would need to run a query like:
      SELECT
      FROM

      WHERE LIKE ‘%%’;

      If that doesn’t answer your question, I will try and supply more details once you answer the questions above.

      The above answer is generally applicable. Along with this if your also developing a user interface using the Visual Basic. If you are using Visual Basic with Microsoft Access XP or any other database then it will be difficult to use the DSN For this you’ll have to use a UDL(Universal Data Link). You can get it using a simple wizard.
      1. open the notepad and save the empty file with the extension .udl.
      2. then Right click on the file and and select open you’ll see a wizard.
      3. Select a Provider from provider tab.
      4. then give path of the database file in the connection tab, and then test the connection, and press of.
      5. open the file in notepad copy the string starting from the word “provider” till the end of the line, and use it as the connection string.

      Please note that this solution is for the windows platform.
