Does anyone know how to search the web using Access 97? I need to be able to search the web for a company from a list and get back the web address, Name, stock symbol and the high and low values of the stock.

Wasting your time??? I spent half an hour providing two answers to one of your questions - that answered your question. Not only did you reject them, you didn't even have the common courtesy to say thank you. You seem to like to post questions with high point values, then reject all the answers you get.
The book, "Access 97 for Windows Concepts & Examples", written by Patricia Sullivan, ISBN 1-887902-29-5, $44.95.
Chapter 14, "Using Access 97 Internet Features".
That chapter will explain fully - more than I could possibly provideon this Q&A thread - all of the Access 97 Internet features and how you can best use them to achieve what your attempting.
. . In addition to that book, which does explain and illustrate the process quite beautifully, I'll briefly explain some Access features by which you can use Access 97 to "search the Web".
Feature: Importing, linking, and exporting data locatedon the Internet or an intranet.
Uses: Import and link HTML tables and lists by using the Import HTML Wizard and the Link HTML Wizard. When you link HTML tables, the data is read-only.
Feature: Displaying Web pages and other documents in Microsoft Access forms.
Uses: Use the WebBrowser control on your application's forms to browse Web sites, view Web pages and other documents, and download data located on the Internet. You can use the WebBrowser control to browse sites on the World Wide Web, as well as folders in the local file system and on a network.
Feature: Using the Internet with database replication.
Uses: Synchronize a database replica with a replica or Design Master on an Internet server.
Using those features, like I stated earlier, will take more than possible on a thread like this one. In addition to reviewing that book, look at this Microsoft site which has an article titled, "Developing Applications for the Internet and the World Wide Web".
It shows you how to use Microsoft Access to develop applications that retrieve, publish, and share information on the Internet or a local area network.
I suggest that you look into www.bravenet.com and setup a list on there site to show what you need and then save that to a comma dilimited file and then import that into access.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
