Second NIC in Server, client-side HELP..

by gloydster . Updated 25 years, 1 month ago

I have a small Win 2000 server running at home and I am trying to share the internet with both PC’s and I am having a bear of a time. I can see the server giving out an IP address(DHCP)But nothing in Network neighborhood.

Could someone tell me, what should the settings be for the LAN NIC (WAN NIC on internet, connects fine) and also the setting for the NIC on one of the clients systems? IP, GateWay, DNS, WINS?

Win 2000 Sever
LAN NIC IP 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 DNS of 127.0.0.1…(set that way when ICS was enabled)
…Now, what should I be setting the client IP and DNS/Gateway to…? Should I be using Static IP or DHCP?

I am missing something stupid, that is why I need more eyes on the problem.

Thanks, Chris G.
