My main router IP address (192.168.100.1) is The secondary router address is also 192.168.1.1. What should the IP address be of the secondary router to enable it to be used as a repeater? It didn’t work after I changed it to 192.168.1.2. Any ideas?

Repeater? Not many routers have that feature.

The make, model of the router was not revealed so it’s a safe bet your router does not have the repeater feature.

You didn’t reveal exactly what the goal was but if it is “repeater” then the IP address is moot.

Here I can use a no-configuration method to give myself a second remote WiFi hotspot. How? I connect the second router’s WAN port to a LAN port on the first router. Done. Almost no work at all.
