    How secure are tools like logmein or gotomypc?

      Depending on what they are used for generally speaking [b]Not Very Secure[/b] well the tools themselves are secure but they leave an opening on the system and others can take advantage of if they want to and there is enough reason for someone to want to get into the system.

      I have a Doctors system that requires PC Anywhere to be installed so that the Software providers can remotely log in & update the application when required about once every 6 months so I’ve established a VPN into the system with a Dial up Modem and they can only access this system after hey have made arraignments to as the staff can turn on the External Modem and sit there and make sure that the people logging on are actually the authorised people. It’s not a perfect solution but it works and helps the system fairly secure.
