Security Policy refresh

Hi,

I have an Issue with Windows 2000 security policy on a member server, every time it applies i get this error in event ID,

Event ID 1004

Des:
Policy change from LSA/SAM on DC can’t be replicated to other DC’s error 4312to save policy change in the local GPO database.

I have found when this is applied is stops scheduled tasks and sometimes IIS, there are no GPO applied to the machines, the security policy are set to default the server is patched up.

I have found a Technet article on how to delay the security policy being applied – but this just delays the error to happen again. the DC’s are fine both can connect to each other.

does anyone have any idea what this problem is?
