Security setting required (ActiveX Control) for Text Editor

Anyone can help!? I want to have good word or more convince them – don’t change internet setting for ActiveX Control. I want to have default. I am scared about ActiveX because it is very hairy, can get virus or anything. Also I want to keep internet security standard and measure (by allowing unsafe downloads).. Can you help me out to having good word or good point to saying NO to user. They want editor that has many of the same features as MS Word. I dont get it because Internet Explorer built in – Notepad, MS Word and MS Excel. So, the want to change Internet settings –

1. download unsigned ActiveX control – prompt
2. download signed ActiveX control – prompt
3. initialize and script ActiveX not marked as safe – prompt
4. script ActiveX control marked as safe – Enable

I dont want them change those.

I hope all of you guys will help me out to convince them – how to explain with strong information.

Look forward hearing from you guys soon!
